I went to college and worked hard my whole life to become a productive member of society. I taught special education for 12 years and loved my job. In 2017 I had a back injury that left me unable to walk for 2 whole years because of the severe pain. For 2 years I had to lay on the floor barely living because no doctor would treat my pain due to these unfair policies. I went through 2 back surgeries and was still unable to be treated for pain and only received the bare minimum. I have lost my whole life due to my injury and can still now only receive enough medication to barely get by. I dont take medication for fun, I take it so that I can function. I am getting ready to have a third back surgery and will never see a day without chronic pain. I wish it wasnt like this. I wish i could have my old life back again. I would not wish this constant pain on my worst enemy. But here i am. Here we are. Begging to be treated fairly and with compassion. We are begging to have our pain treated so that we can halfway function and spend some sort of quality time with our families. We have been treated like criminals long enough.
I fully support this. I am a long term chronic pain patient.
As a Chronic Pain Patient I have been an innocent bystander in my own life. There was a time that I had medication which helped me to live a complete and full life. I could work full time, go to family functions, go for walks and sit through a movie. When the guidelines changed I abruptly cut off, there was no weaning and I almost ended my life. Since I’ve been with out medication I can barely work 4 hours a day and then I need to go home and lay down the rest of the day, usually with a drink in hand because it’s the only thing that helps take the edge off from the excruciating pain! I don’t have a life anymore!
I’m not afraid to die…I’m afraid to live!
Incredibly precise and accurate! This has now become an issue for everyone and is clearly out of control. We can not continue to act like pain doesnt exist and every single person is different and requires varying levels of care. Pain patients are treated in a manner that is unacceptable for any other segment of society. The “Common Sense Era” is supposedly here so PLEASE apply just a tiny bit to this issue and improve life for everyone.
Chronic pain and acute pain patients need access to FDA approved safe and effective medication- especially those with histories of safe use and benefits from Rx opioids. The CDC interference has harmed patients and caused pain patient deaths and harm. The CDC did not follow proper procedures, trying to interfere in FDA jurisdiction, and using authors with known financial ties to suboxone and buprenorphine manufacturers as well as those tied to alternative & complementary treatments and interventional treatments all pf which have also caused additional patient harm. Deaths due to Illegal drugs rose drastically as the CDC ignored illegan fentanyl and instead attacked doctors practicing properly and in good faith.
Chronic pain patients should be able to get the medications they need to function. After CDC interference, many pain patients were forced to leave employment they were formerly able to maintain with proper medication. Losing that income and self worth is another harm directly related to the inappropriate interference of the CDC. The inappropriate restictions of pain medications need to be removed! Immediately!!!
I’ve read all the comments and agree.
Your pharmacist was wrong Buprenorphine is only a half antagonist and takes only half of your opioid receptor, And cap it off and there’s a ceiling effect on it also…but oxycodone is known as a full antagonist and takes up all of your receptor. But the thing about buprenorphine is that it kicks all other opiates off the receptor and binds to it much much stronger than any other opioid stronger than Morphine, methadone, oxycodone ,hydrocodone stronger than Evenfentanyl In low doses … I’m not saying a strong dose of fentanyl won’t cancel it out, but it sure won’t be easy…When you take buprenorphine all other opioids, don’t stand a chance because it blocked receptor and cap it off you would have to wait for the effects of buprenorphine to wear off before you would get any benefit from any other opioid.
The sociopaths at the DEA and CDC, and the sociopaths at the PROP organization are criminally liable for aggravated assault and manslaughter . Millions of human beings are suffering on a daily basis, and tens of thousands of countless deaths from lack of medication are crimes against HUMANITY !!! I hope Mr. Kennedy has ALL the aforementioned sociopaths arrested and prosecuted—-and returns the diagnosis and treatment of patients to Doctors .

You are 100% correct and I will do my post. My pharmacist did say it took up half the receptor.
MS chronic illness person here. I’m tired of hurting………
Very well said , exactly it gives us a quality of life , ,thanks for really telling ,how medication helped you do the things that make a life , not in a recliner or bed
I live with bowed femurs , Congital dysplasia , and a 5 failed fusion surgeries , , I ve been deformed since life and you say meds aren’t for me , they improved my life drastically , God put opium on this planet for us , ,it works ,
My mother is 95 and has been under the care of pain management for years for serere and debilitating osteoarthritis. The only small amount of relief comes from Hydrocodone. The doctor cannot prescribe without monthly in-person appointments, and she is now physically unable to leave our home. The universal restrictions will mean she will end her days with zero quality of life.
I said no such thing!
Direct your anger elsewhere.
Chronically ill patients are NOT the problem! Please understand, we are law abiding citizens and were never the problem. Opioids allow some of us to live a full life and without them we are bed bound or home bound and can’t work or enjoy family.
Misunderstood sorry , I really suffer in the winter and have not been myself , I believe in acupuncture , I wish I could afford and find and asian med Dr. The very first tattoos on body’s found , point out the points at which acupuncture is used .
Agree🙏🏻
Great to hear. Maybe you will give a quick vote to allow acupuncturists to get paid by Medicare: Medicare Acupuncture Coverage .
Thank you! ![]()
Yes is my vote in support to stop the stigma to millions of pain patients. Also to stop the suicides of pain patients.
