Physician / Provider Revenue disclosure Policy

Healthcare should be held to my industry regulation… I’m in financial services and by regulation my industry must disclose all sources of revenue to a client. So when we sell $100K of mutual funds we must disclose the 3.5% commission and any revenue sharing that the mutual fund company distributes the the brokerage firm.

Doctors, Hospitals, etc. get direct kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies (especially pediatricians) and chemotherapy drug companies, insurance companies for prescribing/administering these drugs, meeting metrics, etc. Patients should know these back door financial incentives being received including the amount and how much is received relative to total practice revenue. Including catered lunches, trips, etc.

I agree :100:
Doctors don’t even know the root cause of symptoms but use us as guinea pigs with prescriptions. Artificial intelligence would be better than doctors. Thanks for your post.
