Do you mean “non-profits”, or “NGO’s” (non-governmental Organizations)?

As of 2025, there are approximately 1.5 to 1.97 million tax-exempt organizations in the US. The hospital I use is non-profit. I also think most, or all, churches are non-profit.

There are 2,043 Non-governmental organizations in United States as of August, 2025.

As of 2025, there are approximately 1.5 to 1.97 million NGOs operating in the United States, which includes tax-exempt organizations. All the NGOs should be given a 1-year notice of termination. Then they can reapply, with the understanding that they will have to follow NEW audit rules and public spot checking on the operations.
