No VA benefits or military medical discharge for results of elective surgeries and elective cosmetic surgeries.
If elective or elective cosmetic surgeries make you non deployable, cause irreversible damage, or scarring. Because they were not given as part of your service related injuries, were not a result of physical rehabilitation from service related injuries, and were self inflicted by the choice to have the elective surgeries performed, that person should not receive a medical discharge. Instead if not able to retire, they should get a general discharge. And, the VA should deem them unable to receive disability for these conditions.
