I would love to see the U.S. government allow families to have more access to special ops in aiding the recovery of their loved ones from kidnappers who are holding them against their will.
Long ago, kidnappers would intentionally avoid U.S. citizens for fear of retribution. Oh how we’ve lost sight of those days! It’s almost the exact opposite now to where U.S. citizens are targeted because because of healthy ransom payouts from the families or even insurance companies. It’s turned into a business model for some of these kidnappers and it needs to stop!
I would love to see the full force of the military and/or special ops be more available to families to help them see their loved ones recovered. Obviously, this needs to be a decision each family would need to make and it would be an incredibly difficult decision because of the risks involved but too many times, families are left helpless when all other avenues have collapsed. Too many U.S. citizens have been harmed and killed as a result of our country’s inaction and complacency of protecting U.S. citizens when traveling abroad in other countries.
I could see President Trump saying “return your U.S. hostages today unharmed or else we will be coming for you.”…“If you’ve ever harmed a U.S. citizen then we are coming for you”…“If you dare kidnap a U.S. citizen then you are asking for a death sentence because our bravest and our finest will be coming to wipe you out”…“If you want to live then leave U.S. citizens alone or else you will be killed quickly and swiftly”.
If the kidnappers knew special ops were coming I believe they would start avoiding U.S. citizens in general.
I also believe our military men & women would be willing to risk their lives to save innocent U.S. citizens who are being held against their will.
Our country is too great not to be more aggressive in defending our citizens who are being held against their will.
