Students need the opportunity to experiment with multiple fields of study before spending thousands of dollars and many years on college.
The pacing guide within high schools needs to be changed so that students have the chance to spend time working before making a lifelong commitment. They should be encouraged to try two to four different paths. I believe this will also help reduce turnover or multiple career changes.
