In nearly every job I’ve had, I’ve been met with sociopathic, narcissistic, and downright miserable managers. These people become more favorable for these positions because they are more appealing to higher ups and produce results despite their ethics. While at the same time, they ruin the work environment and culture. They usually get away with unethical practices, therefore I propose to have a state policy to remove sociopaths and narcisists from these positions. If done through a company, it’s likely the high level sociopathic and narcissistic individual will retain their position and the individual reporting their behavior will likely be fired or have their position changed or relocated. It would be great to have an external outlet for companies to take complaints of their higher level employees seriously otherwise, employees could take their actions to the state.
So what do we call this policy? We can call this policy, Managment Under Unethical Practices. This practice removes managers and higher level individuals of their position using the state. This requires a certain amount of collected irrefutable evidence. It also requires that an individual files a complaint to a business first of when this behavior started so that there is a record and a chance to correct before bringing the case to the state. After the business is notified and aware of the actions and does not correct, after a case is brought to the state, then the state will issue a mandate requesting a manager or high ranking official to be removed or face the consiquence of fines for unethical practices.
With this policy, the work environment and work culture can be restored, employees have a means to combat unethical practices in the workplace, and sociopaths and narcisists can be pulled out of position to prevent eroding a business and the work experience.
