Make this site open source for local governance

I propose that the Policies for People platform be made open-source, allowing communities to adapt and implement it for local government use at the city, county, or state level. By releasing the platform’s code under an open-source license, we can empower citizens and officials to customize it to their specific needs, fostering greater transparency, participation, and innovation in local policymaking. This would enable regions to host their own versions, tailoring features to address unique local challenges while building on a proven framework.

I’m about 80% sure P4P is using discourse.

It’s GPL-v2 licensed.

Edited to add: setting up local policy forums is a good idea though.

Thank you for that info!
