Why can people live off section 8 forever? There should be a limit on that program. I used to know the girl, and she told me that she lived with her mother but sometimes she would have to move out because the second 8 housing sent an email that they were going to visit for an inspection. Her mother was from Guatemala and came to the united states for a better opportunity but has been on section 8 housing for at least 10 years. Her mother won’t get a job because she doesn’t want to lose her less than $200 a month housing in California. So she does odd and end jobs for cash and expects her daughter to give her money so she doesn’t have to work. There are so many people that desperately need to get out of their situations and I think it’s wrong that someone that has the ability to work, doesn’t because they don’t want to pay for their housing.
