Limit when corporations can buy a home

Americans are struggling to buy single-family homes in my area due to corporations being able to buy the house with cash the same day the house hits the market. I believe it would be beneficial, if could only buy foreclosed homes or had to wait six months to a year of the houses sitting on the market before they can swoop in to buy them up. Corporations have been buying the single-family homes and turning around to rent them at extremely high prices, making homeownership impossible for many Americans
