Thank Ross Perot, ~1991, a failed petition drive.

This is brilliant. I don’t think I even need to think about it very much. I’m a yes

I agree. I think this policy would make every subsequent policy easier to get passed; term limits, single issue bills, voter ID, etc.

Makes sense. We already have this as a federal law that prohibits contributions from foreigners.

I agree, ONLY registered voters should be allowed to contribute to candidates. NO unions, or corporations, non-citizens, foreigners etc should be allowed to contribute.

I agree. Specifically, The SCOTUS was only partially correct when it ruled that money = free speech. The Constitution established State sovereignty, therefore, money and resources to affect the outcome of a State’s election is a violation of that sovereignty. As a result, rather than represent their constituents, politicians are more beholden to big money doners, PACs, Super PACs, Unions, Big Business, and other politicians (in wealthy, safe districts) who channel campaign funds to garner leadership appointments.

It is time to return the power to We The People by banning campaign donations, comingled funding, campaign resources/personnel/supplies, endorsements, and in kind donations strictly to what is available within the boundaries of each sovereign State.
