Have the Right to Soft-succession?

Texas has had discussions to succeed from the US to become its own soveign country as it once was. With this in mind, I ask the question, should the US make a process for soft-successions if the federal government becomes corrupt beyond repair? Perhaps with a citizens overwhelming vote to succeed from the US. I personally feel it will become a property of Globalism pr of majority muslim rule if a state succeeds, but I dare to ask the question regardless. The policy is for the purpose of discussion and if a policy should be drafted for the rights of succession from the federal government or from the United States to create state-to-country sovereignty.

The right to Seceed would have to be decided on, on a State by State basis. A Federal Law wouldn’t pass because the Federal Government will of necessity need the states to remain United. The Federal Government runs on Taxes from the states. If a state(s) seceed, The Federal Government loses both funds and power of control, and is diminished. Don’t see Federal Government voluntarily giving up its power or its funds.

I see your point. They wouldn’t agree to any succession at the loss of their cash cows, but part of me feels if government is corrupt, states should have a process to voluntarily leave until the feds gets their act together.

Agreed. That’s why Texas, and I think Oklahoma, wrote into their Constitution the Right to secede. The Federal Government will do what is necessary for it to survive and a state should also have the right and ability to do the same.
