Over the past 10-15 years our country has experience things that I don’t think the American people know how to process. It has resulted in a ton more people being involved in politics which is a good thing, but democracy is hard. We have generations of people that grew up thinking everybody wins. We all do, sometimes it just a little harder to see the light when it wasn’t your first choice.
I am somebody that sees straight down the middle and was super excited to see RFK running because he was taking on the food and that has tons to do with our gut, which affects our mental health. So he was the clear choice in my opinion for a healthy society. Which I believe is our #1 issue.
With all that being said. I am somebody that is from a small town and we were involved in local politics, as my dad was on the school board. So elections are nothing new to be. Heated elections are nothing new to me. Rebuilding the sense of community after a tough election is nothing new to me.
I think it would be really beneficial for a grant program to be set up for local community events. Communities interested building the bridge can apply. Think of like a “summer block party” it could be a community based event, your community host this summer to get us out of our house and into our world. To start talking again, and remind everyone, we all have the same ideas and want everyone to have the freedom and make decisions that are best for you and your loved one.
It is time to embrace what has happen, breathe, and move forward, in unity.
