Get rid of daylight savings time (DST)

Many states have passed laws to stay on DST all year, and other states have passed conditional laws (if their neighboring states do it, they will too). Standard time seems to be preferred in northern states while DST is preferred in southern states. Let each state decide.

Instead of abolishing DST, the federal government should allow the states to decide.

Wait till Spring and then pass the bill. Summer it gets dark around 8pm… Fall, just leave the clocks alone, it still gets dark earlier. Arizona doesn’t change time. Have 19 votes left I guess, this was my first and important one

Yes, abolish Daylight Savings Time. I agree 100%!!!

Yes I’m in Michigan and est. I want it light before 9am

We tried that in the 1970’s and it failed miserably. It was not getting light until 9am and kids were getting hurt.

Please Spring forward and then stop the madness. Lets just ratify Sunshine Protection Act of 2022 and implement it!

100% agree! Daylight savings time is not good for people’s health!

Thank you! I was going to make this
suggestion too.

Once we move the clock forward in the spring, it should end. That way, it’s lighter outside, making it easier to get things done at home after work. In the summer, it’s great to have that extra light.

I’m in favor of ending the fall back time change in Nov when we lose daylight in the evening.
Please make our state like Arizona with NO time change! There is no daylight in the evenings to throw a ball with my children, ride bikes, garden, or just jog because of the daylight saving change. The change is extremely hard on children as it affects their sleep patterns & alters their schedules. It is linked to depression & a high cause of car accidents. Please let me know who I can contact or write to support this change! Thank you for your time!!

Yes!

And, if it is dark in the morning most people will turn in one or two lights. When it’s dark in the evening the whole house is lit up along with the appliances.

Same here in Florida. But it will take an act of Congress of the United States to allow individual states to follow through With individually canceling the daylight savings time, initiative

Yes but please stay daylight savings permanent. Many of us work after our regular jobs and need the extra daylight in the evening.

I do like this time change though. I don’t like the fall back though.

Let’s abolish the version between November and March. I prefer the sun setting later. IIRC, the March to November is ā€œDaylight Saving’s Timeā€

I am so glad that I live in Arizona and they don’t participate in this nonsense.
