Form Strictly-Domestic military units

The Problem:
Most of the American people who should be in the military hate the US federal government (and her “allies”) more than any foreign government. They know that if they sign up, they’ll be killed in a pointless banker war as the political class cheers.

Unfortunately, we really do need a big standing army in the modern age; the oceans no longer give us a 2-month head start to muster a defense.

The Solution:
Form a new branch or modify the national guard. Those who join up can’t be compelled to fight a foreign war under any circumstances. Give them federal funding for ammo, drilling, bushcraft training, wages, and a reasonable amount of military-grade hardware (mortars, crew-served weapons, and armor). Plenty of the people you’d be courting for this unit already play Red Dawn innawoods with their buddies on their own dime, so it wouldn’t take much in wages.

Please, this image first came out years ago and the fact that it has been years without it coming true means that it was always bunk.

There was never any truth to it, it was never anything more than a LARP written by people who wanted it to be true, written for people who wanted it to be true.

That you’re using it here as if it had ever been genuine makes it hard to give much thought to anything else you’re writing here.

Maybe try again with a more serious effort?

If you want to form military units domestically that hate the government, that’s the makings of a civil war. We have a new military commander in chief now, the circumstances have changed. We also have a national guard.

Obviously I don’t want it to be true. The first paragraph has happened though. They are backing off on woke nonsense, and Rogan and Musk were the big names that left the plantation.

I’ll wait to see what happens. I have some hope that things’ll work out; if Trump were completely owned, they wouldn’t have shot him

Regardless of what you think of sign tappers, please engage with the actual idea. Like @TinaFahy said, there could be friction from having domestic units, loyal to the nation, and foreign units, loyal to the government.

We also have a constitutional right to form well regulated militias.

It didn’t though.

From the time the post was made, there wasn’t a backing off from ‘woke’ in the months that followed, in the months that followed that post woke was very much a thing that was still pushed. The timeline of events does not match with the post. Even now, it’s clear that any rollback of woke has nothing to do with some behind the scenes conspiracy, it’s always been a reaction to first that people rejected the woke and second to Trump winning.

Personally, I already posted a take of my own on a shift in military organization back in October, which I did without having to cite a LARP post that was already long-debunked.

Of course. I think it would be nice if they could get funding, training, and official recognition. It doesn’t seem to be a popular idea though.

Oh well, there’s still plenty of things on this site I agree with.
