Equal state aid for Privately adopted children

My grandson was privately adopted by my daughter who is a social security disability recipient. Because we privately adopted him they are not entitled to any state assistance for my grandson. Because of their fixed income they at times desperately needed extra help especially when inflation hit its hardest. Repeatedly we have been told because he was privately adopted he did not qualify for food stamps, bebeficiary benefit through ssd, WIC, and the list goes on and on. This policy needs changed as obviously jist because you scrape up attorneys fees to proceed with a private adoption does not mean you do not struggle on a fixed income. So basically if you arr an adopted child who was not fortunate enough to be adopted by a wealthy family the state programs completely ignore any needs you may have for nutrition clothing etc. And you are left to fall through the cracks. Change the policy to include ALL american children weather they be privately adopted, state adopted, poor, disabled etc.
