End or reduce tax on Capital Gains for those making under 400k per year

You should file a lawsuit against the county, city, state. Oh wait, that would only increase our taxes to pay for the lawsuit if you win. How about you don’t pay your taxes and see what happens? It is easy to say it is unconstitutional yet keep paying your taxes. Convenient…

I don’t work for government nor do is wish to keep paying taxes. My Property Taxes in CA are capped at 1.25% (Prop 13). We don’t have local taxes where I live other than property taxes.

How do you suggest the police and fire (or other city services) get funded? I notice you say it is BS but not offer a solution to the funding issue.

Just sayin’

Frank

Compare the annual budgets of your police and fire, to the treasury intake. My guess is you don’t know what they all waste, so you don’t know what they could operate on. You don’t address waste, as though it doesn’t exist.

…Which is precisely why the continued unconstitiontal and criminal extortion at the county level must (and will soon) end. And your response also explains why you are content leaving things as they are (w/ screw thy neighbor) instead of changing a corrupt system and finding other CONSTITUTIONAL means for county revenue – you reside in socially and fiscally bankrupt Commiefornia. By your comment, you present yourself as having the creativity and problem-solving abilities of a worm. Probably a combination of that and a your current inability to stomach change. Not to worry - your socialist gravy train will end and your county services and payment methods will be changing radically, soon enough-- far different than you currently enjoy it.

I noticed that you never once mentioned the massive changes going on all around us at the present time, which certainly shows that it is not “business as usual” like you might wish it to continue. No mention of the new tariffs and “fair tax” or the state of Florida now leading the nation in pushing to drop property taxes because of its direct violation of 5 constitutional amendments; so I wouldn’t suspect you are keeping up with changing revenue streams and processes underway at the federal, state, and local levels. You are simply using the tired old 1970’s ‘Grunk The Caveman’ argument of “it pays for our roads and schools” nonsense – wormish thinking from a socialist mindset. Its a good thing that you are not currently sitting on a county board in Florida right how, huh? You might jump out of the window, with what is going on over there. Welcome to rapid and disruptive change. It may start in Florida, but it will make it your way, soon enough. Hold on to your cute little socialist apple cart. And if you don’t like the way it winds up changing on you, then you can create your own lawsuit against your govt and we’ll see how far it gets you. Have a nice day, worms. :grinning:

Just sayin’ summore.

PS - Perhaps you can pick up some paint-by-numbers or some doodle art at your local Dollar Tree and start working on that creativity level a little bit. Very constructive therapy, perhaps.

SIDENOTE: Looks like you are a little outnumbered in your calls for keeping property extortion taxes like they are. Maybe you should also read more and be aware of how different you view the world than the thousands of your neighbors who disagree with your ‘Caveman Status Quo’ regarding property taxes. But at least you have ONE vote for your position…your own…

Yep, probably a boomer who only cares about social security, and potholes, and dying with as much fiat as possible.

It’s a severe lack of creativity, and a total narcissistic lack of vision or concern for the future. Who knows, maybe the boomers got dosed with something heavy duty in their vaccines that facilitates this behavior.

We’ve got to get back to responsibility, sovereignty, and long term thinking as a culture. Stewardship is entirely missing from leftists mindset, but it’s becoming sparse on the right as well.

What is the point of Stewardship? Everyone should dwell on the concept, AND the logical consequences of continuing to operate without it, before it’s too late.
