End all monetary performance awards given to Federal employees. Thousands of dollars are given to government employees every fall based on their overall yearly performance. Star awards are also given for “special” work circumstances. End all bonuses. 1% to 3% on top of paid salaries could be saved and better spent elsewhere. Taxpayer money should not be given away as bonuses for employees already paid to do their job.
