Because debt provides an opportunity for compromising Congress, tax debts are particularly a problem.
No person who owes taxes may serve in Congress. If any are in arrears, they shall be removed from their seats and replaced according to state laws. The Congressional representatives shall forfeit any right to retirement funds in the amount of the tax debt until it is cleared.
Any Congressional staff personnel owing taxes shall have their salary garnished to the maximum amount allowable (25%) until the debt is cleared.
