Citizens are born and naturalized citizens only if they ARE subject to the jurisdiction thereof

Amendment XIV: Section 1.

ALL PERSONS BORN OR NATURALIZED IN THE UNITED STATES, AND SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION THEREOF, ARE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES AND OF THE STATE WHEREIN THEY RESIDE.

Infants are not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. Citizens must be born in, AND subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. Citizenship should not be recognized until persons are lawfully subjected to the laws of The United States and not protected or shielded by a parent or guardian in a dependant manner.

This is my interpretation of the first first sentence of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment.

The 14th ammendment was written specifcally concerning slaves brought into America, some having multiple generations born on American soil. This ammendment has nothing to do with Dreamers born on American soil by parents who came to America illegally. In my opinion, the 14th Ammendment shouldn’t still be on the books. We abolished the practice of slavery thru the Civil War, even if that is not the true reason for the Civil War. That is in the past, and the 14th Ammendment should have been removed from the Constitution after a set time, by our founders.
