Ban solar contract development of agricultural land at a federal level. The amount of solar going up on farmland in some states is alarming and will affect food/ ag production. A lot of these solar companies are foreign held and allow for not only solar installation ruining the land but the water on that land as well.

I don’t suppose you ever considered you could do both. Currently we grow approx. 36m acres of corn for ethanol which ruins your gas mileage, creates smog, creates losses of about +/- $200/acre, and creates a carbon footprint greater than what ethanol offsets. We grow just 4.5m acres of vegetables. 1 acre of solar will pay farmers 5x the average rent, power +/- 100 homes, cost less than the solar credit, reduce emissions by 200 metric tons per acre, create many jobs and feed many people especially the poor, Revenue… corn $750/acre, lettuce $10k/acre, electric $250-500K/acre. Obvious choice to me. Can’t give you my vote.
