Ban Sales of Feel Free and Kratom Products

Feel free products are sold across the country and have a destructive and extreme addiction problem. They are just as addictive and dangerous to health than many highly controlled substances. Issues with feel free and kratom have been highlighted before and simple research online and particularly Reddit show how this has destroyed families, finances and extreme health complications. It is far too easy to get hold of and the dangers are not made clear anywhere appropriately.

I strongly disagree with you on the topic of kratom. As someone who has been living with chronic pain, I have found lab tested, GMP certified kratom has worked so well for me and kept me thriving. As long as kratom isn’t mixed with other substances, it is safe and I think there needs to be more (reliable) research done on kratom to debunk these theories of it being this horrible thing. Feel Free is a potent shot. I agree that in these quantities, kratom would not be as safe as powdered, raw kratom. The ‘dangers’ of feel free are clearly marked on the label. I do think that if someone is to carry something like this in their store that it should be behind a counter and/ or locked up to prevent anyone from stealing it that isn’t 21 or older. The warnings/concerns about the product are on the label and you can see it in the image I have provided.

To ban kratom is taking away something that has kept so many people away from harmful and extremely addictive pharma pain meds, and I believe that more testing should be done on the plant to determine potential and possibly unwanted side effects. If a grown adult wants to put a plant in their body, it should be their decision and not a decision of the government. As long as they aren’t hurting anyone, I don’t see why anyone would want to ban it and it should be used responsibly like any other supplement or medication. Kratom is a cousin to the coffee plant, and like coffee, alcohol, or anything else that is a legal ‘drug’ should be used in moderation. I have been using it responsibly for many years and I am grateful for what it has done to help me deal with chronic pain from an autoimmune disease.

Personally, I think alcohol is ruining lives more than kratom, but I am not proposing that we ban the sale of it.
