Ban all private equity firms and banks from owning residential properties as they are part of “you will own nothing and be happy” philosophy. Prohibit the likes of banks, state street, blackrock and vanguard from buying entire areas up only to raise rentals and causing homeownership to be all but impossible for middle class. This falsely creates supply and demand issues and falsely inflates rent. This will solve many of our housing issues including homelessness and inordinate financial strain on homeowners who feel they cannot move as it is now out of reach for many of them as well.

Absolutely. While I’m a firm believer of capitalism, large investment funds should not be able to dictate what we should pay for renting a home. By allowing them to dictate housing costs, that does not allow for much competition in the market place considering they have such massive wealth.
