Any foreign companies operating a location in America or American companies with headquarters in the US can only appoint American born c-suite leaders. Corporations are heavily subsidized by the American taxpayer and are often led by expats loyal to their home country. It influences their staffing decisions, their lobbying of American government officials and stock market performance. Foreign born leaders want to create jobs in their home country, not in America. Companies often ask employees to sign strict contracts to protect IP yet hire executives from countries who steal US IP as a practice.
