All Political Ads should be FREE from the Networks (get money out of politics)

Campaigns need huge amounts of money mainly because they need to run political ads. If any FCC regulated network or provider was mandated to give every candidate for office substantial (and substantially equal) airtime for political ads we could start the process of getting big donor money out of our political process. But as long as campaigns have to pay to play their ads- they’ll need to cow tow to big money donors and special interests just to stay alive and relevant. Make it free-
Further- the leveling of this playing field will allow other voices to be heard- voices of third party and independent candidates who can’t compete with the two party money machine.

I’d go a step further and replace paid political advertising with a specific allocated amount of equal airwave time for each candidate. Funded by a government fund. They can use those minutes and their monetary allocation however they wish.
However, content of airing is limited to their qualifications and proposals for governance, not bashing the other candidates. The format would look similar to a debate stance (directly into the camera). No bells, no whistles. Just the candidate and what they plan to offer the American people. What do you think?
