I’m not a socialist. But if we are going to subsidize one thing in this country, shouldn’t it be high quality daycare and early childhood education?
- bipartisan issue
- make it easier for people to have children by not having to think about what happens if they have to go back to work
- more babies = better economy
- nutrition and social nurturing ensure healthy brain development which is vital to producing mentally stable adults
- focus on training kids to read— reading and education are the gateway to upward mobility
- take away the argument for racism by ensuring all Americans begin life at the same starting line
- front loading quality of life and education is much cheaper and more beneficial than trying to correct for it later
