We all know how much tech companies collect our data and profit from it, while we’re left with little say in the matter. On top of that, the rapid changes in technology—especially AI—are making it harder for people to keep up in the job market.
What if we had more control?
Imagine if we could decide what happens with our personal data—whether to keep it private, delete it, or even get paid for it. A Digital Bill of Rights could make sure companies are upfront about how they use our information, giving us real choices instead of just agreeing to another set of terms and conditions.
At the same time, we should be making it easier for people to adapt to the changing economy. Free training programs in fields like AI, cybersecurity, and design could help more people find solid jobs and stay competitive. Small businesses could also get tax breaks for using ethical tech that respects privacy and security.
We also need to think about housing. Smart, energy-efficient homes could help lower costs and improve quality of life, but we need better policies to make them accessible.
I think it’s time to start having real conversations about how we can push for policies that put people first giving us more control over our digital lives and better opportunities for the future.
