3X or 4X the charge for Remittance Payments of migrants to back home - use to build wall & fund deportation

Currently, I believe remittance charges are around 6% typically for migrants to send money to their families back home. Propose 3X - 5X this current charge. These additional fees could be used to fund the completion of the border wall, help pay for the deportation of existing illegal aliens in our country, and provide a budget for the proper vetting of future incoming immigrants.

Additionally, raising the remittance charges would make it less desirable for illegal aliens to want to come here. Which would then force companies that illegally hire illegals to hire actual Americans.

We don’t seem to have any problem letting credit card companies charge 25-30% interest, why would we balk at charging remittance payments 25-30% ?

If illegals don’t like it, too bad, don’t come here then. We don’t want you to come anyways, so good.

Agreed, but I think this should be taken further. The most egregious on this front are those in high-skilled jobs. The remittances in the tech sector are nuts, with most H1B recipients taking the majority of their paycheck and sending it to be spent in a foreign country. If we slashed remittances, 90% of these Visa holders would just leave, which would free up a lot of space for Americans in the high-skilled labor market
